Famous American actor David Joseph Margulies known for his supporting roles in "Ghostbusters" and "The Sopranos," died on 11th January 2016 at the age of 78. For years he kept his fans occupied with superb performances and appeared in number of movies and television series. Being one of the popular faces of entertainment industry he will be missed by everyone for long.
David Joseph Margulies was born in Brooklyn, New York, on February 19, 1937. He was a Jew by birth. He studied and graduated from City College of New York.Margulies began his career as a stage actor and made debut in the off-Broadway play Golden 6. His first Broadway appearance was in the 1973 revival of The Iceman Cometh. Soon after he got roles in “Brighton Beach Memoirs” and “Angels In America.” In his long span career he acted in numerous films but attained fame for his role in 1984's "Ghostbusters," in which he played the mayor of New York. Five years later in 1989 he did the same role in “Ghostbusters” sequel. He also played a memorable roles in "Ace Ventura: Pet Detective," "Brighton Beach Memoirs" and "A Most Violent Year".
Margulies also featured in popular TV show "The Sopranos" where he played Tony Soprano’s lawyer, Neil Mink. He will be also remembered for his performances in "Northern Exposure", "Law and Order," and “The Good Wife.” Married to Lois Smith he is survived b
